AUTHOR BIO

A.K. Evans is a contemporary romance author of over twenty published novels. While she enjoys writing a good romantic suspense novel, Andrea’s favorite books to write have been her extreme sports romances. That might have something to do with the fact that she, along with her husband and two sons, can’t get enough of extreme sports.

Before becoming a writer, Andrea did a brief stint in the insurance and financial services industry and managed her husband’s performance automotive business. That love of extreme sports? She used to drive race cars!

When Andrea isn’t writing, she can be found homeschooling her two sons, doing yoga, snowboarding, reading, or traveling with her family. She and her husband are currently taking road trips throughout the country to visit all 50 states with their boys.

Review of Storm (Toxic Warriors MC) Books 1 – 3 Box Set by E. C. Land

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Viking and Fawn
Ice and Peyton
War and Shyann

Fawn is the daughter of the original president of the Toxic Warriors MC. She was raised by her father and his brothers of the MC. Viking is the new president of the MC and he wants Fawn, but she wants to find life outside of the MC. However, she has no idea of how her life is ready to go.

Peyton, a woman that was saved by the Toxic Warriors MC from sex slavery. Ice is the VP of the Toxic Warriors and since the first day he saw Peyton and rescued her, he’s felt more towards her than any woman he ever has. He’s prepared to give her the time she needs to heal and find herself after the trauma she’s been through.

War is a man that doesn’t do relationships, but the woman he had a one-night stand with won’t leave his mind. When War gets word that his sister is in danger, he’ll go to the ends of the earth to find her and rescue her. It was them against everyone else growing up and he feels that he’s still responsible for her. When he does find her and rescue her, she wants her best friend to bring her some things from her own apartment. When War sees the woman, he gets the wrong idea and makes a fool of himself.

I really liked all these stories and now I want to read more of the series. I hadn’t read any of this series prior to reading the box set, but now I’m interested in the characters and want more. The characters are great, and the stories are action packed. I loved the story and the characters. I give this box set a 5-star review and will be purchasing more in the series as soon as I can.

♥️🔥Great Ending to the Series!!🔥♥️ Review of Dead in the Water (A Deep Six Novel) by Julie Ann Kenner @JAWalkerAuthor

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Dalton “Doc” Simmons isn’t looking for a serious relationship, he’s had his one love and lost her. Camilla “Cami” D’Angelo is beautiful, sassy, and a lawyer. Doc wants nothing to do with a lawyer. Cami has no idea why or what his problem is, but she can’t deny the attraction they have, neither can Doc. They both lost someone they loved and are afraid to open their hearts because they don’t want to lose someone again and go through the pain all over again. Cami’s loss was not a romantic love, but she’s still lost someone that meant the world to her.

I loved this final book in the Deep Six series. The treasure has been found, someone has let slip that it’s been found and now there is more danger lurking for the Deep Six crew and the women that are there to help them with the various parts of recovering the treasure. The story is full of sassy women, Alpha men, danger, suspense, action, and it’s such a great story and characters. I loved all the books in this series, and I love Ms. Kenner’s writing. I can’t wait to read more books from her. I give this book 5-star review.

Review of Gamble’s Risk (Riot MC, Biloxi) by Karen Renee @karenreneewrite @EJBookPromos

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 out of 5

Another great story in the Riot MC Biloxi series.

Gamble finds himself protecting the lawyer he had words with a while back when he went to pick up Fiona at the police station. He believes she’s too good for him and that their worlds are too far apart, but he can’t seem to get her out of his mind and when she ends up at the compound uninvited and unbeknownst to her, she finds a protector and a new group of unlikely friends.

Victoria is a public defender, and apparently not a very good one. She’s lost her case in court defending a man that really has no business being let out on the streets, but she also knew that he was not innocent of what he was being accused of, so when she lost the case and he ended up in jail, she wasn’t too upset about it. However, her losing her case does not look good for her if she wants to find a different law firm to work for. If only one of the many she has applied to would return call her for an interview.

I liked this story of opposites attract, figuring out love, and finding that one person that just gets you and accepts you as you are, no need to change for them. Gamble and Victoria are complete opposites, but they work perfectly as a couple. Gamble is a such a caring, protective, loyal man that any woman would be lucky to have interested in her. Victoria is a woman that stands on her own, but knows that when she needs help, she will have someone there to stand beside her and protect her. When she finds herself in danger, that person is Gamble and his club that come to her rescue and fight to protect her. The club is a family and when Gamble finally decides that he can’t fight his attraction anymore, his club will stand with him to protect his woman, even if they are a little late in that area. I give this book a 4-star review and I am really looking forward to Block and Heidi’s book next.

“Mr. Crawford?” My assistant, Andrea, poked her head into my office while I was eating lunch with Will. “Sorry to interrupt, but HR asked me to find out if you might have time to talk with one of the candidates for the in-house therapist position?”

I shook my head. “I don’t need to talk to the applicants. I already gave my input to Joan. HR is holding second-round interviews and will let me know what they think when they’re done.”

“Apparently one of the candidates asked if she could have a minute with you after her appointment with HR. But her meeting is starting now, and I know you don’t like anything on your schedule during trading hours.”

“Which candidate?”

“Evie Vaughn.”

I leaned back in my chair with a chuckle. “Sure. Why not?”

She nodded. “I’ll let her know.”

Will lifted his chin after Andrea shut the door. “What was that little grin about?”

“One of the candidates for the stress therapist job is interesting, to say the least.”

“In what way?”

“Her first-interview appointment wasn’t until five one day last week, so when the market closed, I ran downstairs to Paloma to pick up a suit I’d bought and had tailored. After I left the store, I thought I’d forgotten my cell phone in the fitting room, so I went back to check. When I opened the door, I walked in on a woman.”

“I hate those places that have one fitting room for both men and women.”

“Actually, this place has separate ones. The woman was just in the men’s room. But that’s not the best part. When I walked in, she was half undressed…and smelling her armpit.”

Will’s brows shot up. “Come again?”

“You heard me right. Anyway, a few minutes later, my five o’clock appointment walks in, and it’s her. The woman from the fitting room.”

“The pit sniffer? Get the hell out of here. What did you do?”

“Nothing. I played it off like I didn’t recognize her, though she definitely recognized me. I could see her squirming.”

“Shit like this only happens to you, my friend. So what went down? How did the interview go?”

“She was the least-qualified candidate. I don’t even know how her resumé made it into the group that got called for interviews.”

“Yet she’s back here today for a second interview?”

“She is, indeed.”

Will shook his head. “What am I missing?”

“When I got home that night, I started thinking about how the board is shoving this position down my throat. They mandated that I hire someone, not that the person be competent.”

Will smiled. “Genius.”

I shook my head. “I need my people to be focused and ruthless while they’re here—not getting in touch with their emotions.”

“I hear you.”

As we finished lunch, Andrea returned and knocked. Evie Vaughn stood right behind her. Her wavy blond hair was up today, and she wore a simple black skirt and jacket with a red blouse underneath, giving her the sexy-librarian look every male fantasizes about at least once in his life. I tried to ignore the stir seeing her caused in me and forced my gaze down.

Andrea peeked her head in the door. “Do you need more time?”

I looked at Will. “We need to discuss anything else?”

He shook his head. “Not that I can think of. I’ll get the Endicott buy order placed as soon as it hits forty a share.”

“Good.” I turned my attention to Andrea. “Please show Ms. Vaughn in.”

Will left, tossing me a smirk over his shoulder as he passed Evie.

When the door shut, she took a few steps forward, then hesitated. “Thank you for seeing me.”

I nodded and gestured to the guest chairs on the other side of my desk. “Have a seat.”

“Your assistant mentioned you don’t usually take appointments while the market is open.”

“I don’t.” Leaning back, I tented my fingers. “What can I do for you, Ms. Vaughn?”

“It’s Evie, please. And…well, I was hoping you could clear something up for me.”

“What would that be?”

“Why am I here? For a second interview, I mean. You made it pretty clear during the first one that you didn’t think I had the right experience for the position, and I didn’t exactly make a winning first impression in that fitting room. So…why am I here again?”

I folded my arms across my chest and deliberated how to answer. The politically correct and professional response would’ve been to say I’d reconsidered based on how she’d handled herself during the interview. But I’d never been accused of being politically correct or professional.

“Are you sure you want the real answer? Sometimes it’s better not to know and just accept the outcome.”

She folded her arms across her chest, mimicking my posture. “Maybe, but I’d like to know anyway.”

I liked her spunk. It was a challenge to keep myself from smiling. “You were invited back because you are the least qualified of all of the people we interviewed.”

Her face fell, and I felt a tinge of guilt, even though she’d said she wanted the truth.

“Why would you do that?”

“Because hiring an in-house stress coach wasn’t my idea. My board of directors is forcing my hand.”

“Is it a problem because it wasn’t your idea?”

“I employ a hundred-and-twenty-five people whose jobs are to give me ideas.” I shook my head. “No, I don’t have an authority issue, Ms. Vaughn.”

She pursed her lips. “Doctor—it’s Doctor Vaughn. I prefer to be called Evie, but if you insist on using formal etiquette, you might as well use my proper title. I hold a PhD in clinical psychology.”

I couldn’t hold back the smile that time. I nodded. “Fine. No, I don’t have authority issues, Doctor Vaughn.”

“So you’re against the position, in general, and you wanted to hire the worst person to prove a point?”

I nodded once. “You could say that.”

“Are you against therapy?”

“I believe some people can benefit from therapy.”

“Some people? But not your employees? Do you believe your employees don’t have any stress in the workplace?”

“This is Wall Street, Ms.—Doctor Vaughn. If it weren’t a stressful job, my average trader wouldn’t earn seven figures. I just prefer my people to be focused while they’re here in the office.”

“Did you ever consider that you might be looking at things backward? Taking an hour out of the day to speak to someone isn’t what’s interrupting a stressed-out person’s focus. They’re already not focused because of their stress level. Therapy could help center someone so they can concentrate better.”

“Noted that there’s more than one way to look at things.” I studied her for a moment. “Is there anything else you wanted to ask? Or have we reached the point in the discussion where you tell me you hope we never see each other again?”

She smiled shyly. “I’m sorry about that. It wasn’t an appropriate thing to say.”

I shrugged. “It’s fine. Believe it or not, I’ve been accused of being inappropriate a time or two myself.”
She laughed as she stood. “Gee, I never would have guessed that from the man who sniffed me during my interview.” Evie held out her hand. “Thank you for your time. And your honesty.”

“This book is one of the best books I have read this year. Absolutely I adore this author bc her works bring you into this other world.” ~ Spunk N Sassy (Julie)

Gamble clings to two things: the Riot MC brotherhood and a grudge against his sister’s attacker. When his grudge brings danger to an innocent woman, it sends him into a tailspin. Dumping a woman at the clubhouse —as a message for Gamble— enrages the Riot MC brothers, but Gamble risks his life in order to mete out vengeance.

Victoria’s recovery is slow and arduous. He’s determined to help her heal and move on.

After tragedy strikes, the last place Victoria expects to be is in Gamble’s room. She doesn’t want him to see her broken. She definitely doesn’t want his help to recover. He won’t have the patience for a woman whose spirit is shattered. Proving her wrong, Gamble refuses to leave her alone. The more he builds her trust, the more she battles her growing desire for him.

As a public defender, Victoria knows she should stay far away from the outlaw biker. But, the blue-eyed outlaw with a sexy Southern drawl argues with her like he’s opposing counsel. They cannot fight their overwhelming attraction. Their relationship grows and changes until they realize they need the same things.
Justice.
And each other.

Gamble grabbed my right hand, then reclined the passenger seat while I drove us home.

“Are you okay?” I asked.

“I’m good.”

“Good at lying,” I said.

“Kitten, it’s been two weeks since I got out of the hospital. I’m getting better.”

I nodded at the windshield. “Yeah, but that doesn’t mean you needed to stand around for an hour with Brute while Aubrey had her practice.”

He didn’t say anything to that. At a traffic light, I glanced at him. He had a big, beautiful smile on his face. The joy in his expression almost made me think he was stoned, but I knew better.

“What are you smiling about?”

His eyes stayed closed as he said, “I’m fucked, but I like it.”

“Pardon?”

He opened his eyes. “It’s always gonna be like this, isn’t it?”

The light changed, I faced forward, and we motored onward. “Is what going to be like this?”

“Us. The bickering, the fussing… and even your girl Heidi fussing over me. That’s how it’s going to be, isn’t it?”

I pressed my lips together. “I don’t know,” I murmured.

His seat came forward. “You know, and it’s true.”

We were in the driveway. I tried to wrest my hand free, but Gamble hit the clicker with his free hand. I pulled the car forward and he hit the clicker again. He let my hand go so I could park and turn off the engine.

Gamble shifted and cupped my cheeks. “You love me, right?”

My chin dipped. “More than I knew I could love anyone.”

His eyes lit up. “Right. And I’m yours in a way I never knew I could belong to anybody.”

“Okay,” I said hesitantly. “What brought this on?”

“You’re mine the same way right? You belong to me?”

I nodded… still hesitant.

“That’s what the property patch is about, kitten. At least for me. I see a woman with a brother’s patch on her back, it doesn’t just tell me she’s off-limits. It tells me that brother found a woman he cares enough about to make her his. And crazy as you might find it, that makes me happy for that man.”

I nodded and his hands fell away. “But some of your brothers haven’t put cuts on their women. I haven’t seen Kenzie wearing anything like that or Trinity.”

Gamble laughed. “Kenzie was wearing one at the Fourth of July party, but you probably didn’t notice because of Stephanie accusing her of cheating at cornhole.”

“Okay, fine. And Trinity?”

A lopsided grin crossed his face. “You might say Trinity made Roman hers, but really, you’d have to ask Roman about that. I don’t know why he hasn’t given her a cut, and God knows Sandy has to be nagging the hell out of Roman about it.”

“That’s not saying much. I think she enjoys nagging your brothers.”

“Yeah. But, we recognize women have rights. Set your feminism aside. If I give you a property cut, it’s an honor, Victoria.”

I want so badly to intertwine my fingers with hers, but I can’t, and she drops my hand before reaching for pretzels. “O.M.G. It just hit me how hungry I am.” She shoves food into her mouth, and I can’t help but chuckle at her.“Did you not eat dinner?” Leaning into the bar, I watch her with fascination.“I did, but I was wearing a dress.” She offers this up as if it’s common sense.I snort. “I don’t understand what that has to do with anything.”She giggles and rolls her eyes. “Let me school you in some basic female knowledge.” She shoves more food into her mouth. If she wasn’t drunk, she’d be embarrassed at the way she’s acting. I find it endearing.“Mkay. By all means, Bernie, educate me.”She makes a face, and I’m not sure what I said that threw her off, but then she tells me. “If you’re gonna use a nickname, it’s Benny now.” She scoffs.Confused, I just shake my head. I’ll admit, I don’t use her shortened name often. Way back in the day, she introduced herself to me as Bernadette, so it just stuck. I’ve always kinda liked that I’m the only one to use her full name, but I’m not on my game tonight. Between her being drunk and overly flirting with me, the new knowledge I possess about her, and the douche-waffle thinking he has a chance with her, I slip and use her nickname.“Anyway, what do you have to teach me, oh wise one?” I smirk, getting her back on track.“Ohh, I like that. But I think you’re making fun. I digress. When a woman is wearing a fancy dress, there are two rules. One, don’t make a mess. And two, don’t stuff yourself silly or your food baby will show.”A deep belly laugh erupts from me. Between breaths, I ask, “Food baby?”She’s soaking up my laughter, and she nods vigorously. “Yes, you know when you eat too much and it just sits there in your gut, and it looks like you’re about fifteen weeks preggo? Ergo, food baby. You don’t do that in a fancy tight-fitting dress.”My laughter under control now, I tell her, “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you like this before, Bernadette.” I chuckle, taking in her carefree, easy demeanor. Her eyes flash with something.“Like what?” She hiccups.“Drunk,” I deadpan. Her eyes widen. “Oh, then I’ve done my job.”I quirk my brow, “Do you get drunk often and hide it?” She giggles. “Well, shit, do I need to stage an intervention?”Her pure happiness sets my blood on fire, and it takes everything in me to not reach out to touch her.“Stop, I’m not a closet drunk. I mean, you don’t see me drunk because I don’t get drunk. In public or alone.” She tries her damnedest to make a serious face, but the attempt ends up just amusing her, and her eyes sparkle. My own grin grows. “You’re fun like this. Carefree.”She’s being hilarious right now. I know she doesn’t need alcohol to make her funny. She’s always fun to be around. But I realize now that I don’t have a lot of one-on-one conversations with her. I’m going to start craving this connection.“I’m not normally fun?” She pops out her bottom lip, leaning forward slightly. Her scent fills my lungs. I take in a deep breath and lean in closer to her.“No, you’re fun, Benny.” My voice is deep. Her eyes glitter at the use of her new nickname. She attempts to be serious, but fails. “Just more fun when I’m wasted, yeah?”“Nah. But normally, you don’t let me get close enough to have fun.” I don’t know why I said that, but it’s out there now.Her eyes widen, and her mouth forms a little o. I let the silence envelop us. The ball is in her court now.“Well…” She closes her mouth, opens it again, and then closes it.I offer a soft laugh. She seems to gather her thoughts and says, “Well, you know where I live. So if you want fun, you know where to find me.”Well. Fuck. Me.I gulp, taking in her words, and before I can reply, she’s walking—no, running—away. Gia drapes her arm over her as the girls pull her into the conversation. I’m looking at her, still processing the gauntlet she threw down, and she peeks at me over her shoulder, gives me a little smile, then turns back to the group.Damn, she launched that fucking ball right back into my court, didn’t she?

Review of Escape Girl (Tech-nically Love Book 3) by Michelle Dayton @MKDaytonWriter #IndiePenPR

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 out of 5

Emily Saturn is a lawyer from a very well known, wealthy family. She is a workaholic, shy, and quiet. Most people that know her describe her as kind, and quiet. She’s socially awkward, but no one says that. She’s been dealt a tragic loss and has been spiraling since.

Bobby March is also from a well know, wealthy family. He is a well-liked young man that can keep a group of people talking for hours by just mentioning something that interests them and then moving on. He’s smitten with Emily right away, but she has no idea why.

I really liked Emily and Bobby’s story. There were so many intermingled parts to this story. There is no such thing as coincidence, just opportunity and Jo Harper seems to jump on those opportunities. This was my first book by Michelle Dayton, and I have to say that I really enjoyed it and am glad to have been introduced to her. The way that Ms. Dayton keeps the reader going through the book with so many different plots and the interest to find out how Bobby and Emily will end is great. I believe that I will have to go back and read the first two books in this series for the other stories now that I’ve read Escape Girl. I really like Ms. Dayton’s writing style and her story telling. I give this book a 4-star review.

An old friend called in a big favor, and now I have this innocent young woman in my home.
Scared, fragile … tempting.
The lines blur, and the heat between us ignites.
She’s my good girl gone bad, and I’ll burn the world down to keep her safe.

But as we grow closer, old secrets rise to the surface.
I’m supposed to keep her safe, but she hasn’t told me everything.
I can’t protect her if I don’t know the truth, and soon things take a dangerous turn.
One even my power and money might not be able to fight.

Leah
He’s my owner. For a few months.
It’s all fake, though. Really, he’s supposed to protect me.
The trouble is he wants more. I can see it in his hungry gaze.
Worse still, so do I.
Yet the world he inhabits is dangerous and full of sin. Too much for a girl like me.
Then he says three little words, and I’m lost.
“My good girl.”

I’ll be his good girl in private, but I also want my rightful place by his side.
As his queen.
I won’t give up this fight because it is the most important of my life.
Then fate throws us a curveball, and a secret I’d long thought buried resurfaces.
My past and my future are at war. I can only pray my future wins.
