My Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 out of 5

Gianni Marino pulled some stupid stunts as a kid and young man; he and his twin would switch off with girls and he never thought anything of it. It was expected after the first time. The only girls they never switched with was Bridget, Dante’s girl and Cara, Gianni’s girl. However, when Gianni began to get too close to Cara he would always pull back. For some reason the HEA seemed to scare him.

Cara has given Gianni too many passes and now that they are grown and in their 40’s, she’s no longer opened to giving him chances. So, when she starts seeing Umberto and Gianni warns her away from him, she digs her heals in deeper. She carries on the relationship for months, but when Umberto begins to feel threatened, he turns on her and she finds herself on an auction block being bought by a man that bids the highest. Little does she know that her whole life is going to be changed forever.

I really like the Mafia Wars books, but the back and forth between Gianni and Cara got to be a bit too much in this book. I understand her reluctance to trust and accept Gianni’s word that he has changed and is committing himself to only her, but she pushed a lot about their past, while Gianni kept asking her to please put the past behind them and trust that he was a different man, she kept seeing him as the arrogant, stupid young man that she knew and not the grown, dangerous, and committed man in front of her. I liked their story and once it got past the part where she kept questioning his every move, it was good. Gianni is a dangerous, dark, and deadly man that protects those he loves fiercely, and Cara is at the top of his list for protecting. It was a good story and I look forward to Crazed. I give this book a 4-star review.

Alexius is the first born of the Del Rossa family and slated to take over for his father soon. He’s dark, deadly, ruthless, and unforgiving. His father wants him to marry to make his position as the head of the family and the Dark Sovereign stronger, but Alexius doesn’t feel he needs any more strength than his name and reputation. So, he decides to find a wife that is disposable, however what he finds is so much more.

Leandra is a woman that is barely living. Her home life as a child was dismal and her adult life is a struggle. Now that she’s free of her mother’s torment, she wants to find a way out of her current life, but with no options she’s stuck. Until a ruthless man walks into the diner she works and hands her a black envelope with a proposition. Leandra is not a trusting woman and when she reads the letter inside the envelope she declines his offer, but Alexius won’t take no for an answer.

This story is brutal, dark, and tragic. It’s also a story of a woman that may be able to find her way out of the darkness that she’s lived her whole life, but she will have to find a way to trust the man that has given her the opportunity. Leandra and Alexius are an explosive couple but when they begin to find their footing with each other their relationship could be explosive in other ways. Leandra may be a “stray”, but she doesn’t take any of Alexius’ harshness. She may be intimidated by him, but she won’t cower to him. I really liked this story, and the characters were great. I look forward to more of the Dark Sovereign books to come and Nicoli’s story. These brothers are close and have each other’s backs, but there is a threat, and no one knows where it’s coming from. It could put the whole family in danger. I give this book a 5-star review.

Remi is determined to get his revenge and the woman he’s been obsessed with for year, but is his plan going to work?


She had no idea she had family living in the states, let alone a sister. When she is finally able to fly to the states to meet her sister, a lot of unexpected issues come up and the meeting is delayed. When she finally does meet her, all of her ideas of a happy family reunion are thrown out the window and stomped on. Penelope has always thought that she was not wanted or cared about with the exception of her uncle that took her in when she was just a child. Now there’s a man that has claimed that she will be his wife, but she’s not the woman he wants. Can they find a Happily Ever After with each other and find love?


I love the Four Dark Horsemen and V.F. Mason’s writing style. She writes, dark, dangerous, broken characters that are possessive and love obsessively when it comes to their families, but they have flaws. They are dark, deadly, possessive, and dangerous, but they turn to mush when it comes to their kids and their women. I loved the bonus chapter for Remi! I loved this book and look forward to more. The characters are great and interesting to read, and the stories leave me drained with all of the pain and darkness, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. I give this book a 5-star review and look forward to more books by V. F. Mason.

I’m a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, “No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book.” I didn’t think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand other mothers hadn’t already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven’t been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.

For the final book in this series, this book was great! I’m going to miss this small-town group of characters, their shenanigans, and the family feel of the community. It has been a great ride and I really hope that Ms. Lagomarsino has more of these great stories to come.

Katka is young but set in her ways already. Her family is crazy and, in your face, so she just wants to live her life on her own terms, but she can’t fight the attraction to Lucas or his cute little girl. She fights it for all she’s worth, but fate has other plans and Katka has no way of winning over fate.

Lucas is surprised when he is summoned at the front of the police station and finds an older couple there with a little girl that Lucas has no idea about. He finds out that he is a father and now he has to adjust his life to take care of her and he steps up to the plate. The jokester bachelor is a protector at heart and he’s ready to protect this little girl that has no one else.

The Gutshot was a story that brought out all the feelings. Lucas and Katka are great characters, and they are great for each other. I love the characters in this series as well as the other books that came before this series. I have laughed, cried, been angry, and almost had anxiety attacks due to these characters and their fights against fate, and their pain, and the shenanigans they direct at each other as well as the town involvement in some. These books have given me a fun, enjoyable, light read at times, but there have been some heavy reads as well. I will miss these characters, but Ms. Lagomarsino did an awesome job bringing everything together with a great ending to the series. I give this book a 5-star review and look forward to more books by Ms. Lagomarsino, she is a great storyteller.

With the start of May, I’d like to introduce a new and interesting author to you! I found @the_saviors_mc on Instagram by it being a suggested follow for me since I follow authors and a lot of MC related authors or posts, so I started following and was intrigued by the posts for Savior: Book 1 by Jennifer Saviano and I found the book on Audible. So, with a credit on my account, and in need of a good book to listen to while working, walking, driving, etc., I purchased the book and listened to it over several days while driving to/from work and while working (with my ear buds in at the office and through the speaker at home…😏). I would not recommend that you listen without earbuds while at work, just sayin’. 😇

How did you start writing? 

I’ve been writing since I was about ten years old.  I’ve always enjoyed the craft of story telling

What inspired you to write?

My grandmother wrote a children’s book for me when I was little, and I wanted to try myself 

Tell me a little bit about yourself:

Jennifer Saviano is the debut author of SAVIOR Book 1, a unique motorcycle club romance series. She has also published a Beginners Guide to Witchcraft for her students.  She has a soft spot for damaged heroes and medium dark romance and has always loved bringing characters to life.  In-depth story telling is her style as she enjoys making her readers experience what her characters are feeling.  When she’s not writing, you can find her with her own dark Knight, crafting or spending time with their three cats and dog, in the woods of the eastern Carolinas.

How did your book first come to life?

Story first or characters first?  It usually starts with a scene in my mind, usually triggered by music.  Then the character development, which leads to the story they want me to tell.  

Savior was inspired by a biker that saved my life when I was 15.  The Mission of the Saviors MC is inspired by my husband’s life dream of creating a sanctuary for abused women and kids.  He grew up in a broken home.  I admire MCs like BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse) and wanted to write an MC series that made bikers more fully developed human beings. So often they are depicted as being very misogynistic and either gun/drug/women runners.  Those aren’t the kinds of Bikers I know.

High school can be such a tough time, but what’s worse is when the kids that were so high and mighty, bullies, tough guys, or plain old b!tches never grow up and feel as though they are still the top of the food chain after high school.

The Strays are the outcasts, weird kids, the kids that no one wants to take the time to understand or get to know. We’ve all had them at our schools. When the Strays finally strike back the group of four that made their high school years miserable, one of them in particular will find out who her real friends are.

Ray is an entitled girl that lives behind a mask. She pretends to be alright when inside her life and her mind are fracturing. Not knowing who her high school friends truly are or were, she believes that she is untouchable and indestructible, but one night at a Halloween party she finds something that can help her and change how her future is headed. All because the kids she bullied and made outcasts wants revenge on her and her crew.

Zaryn and his crew are no longer the kids that will take being bullied or downcast, they’re looking to get back at the four that were always mean in high school. Their first target is Ray. I liked this book. The characters are interesting, and relatable. The story was relatable, angsty and a bit dark. I’m sure that we’ve all had some experience with the high school “cool” kids showing the others how high school was going to be for them. Not everyone had a bully, but I’m sure to an extend that most did, so this book is relatable in that sense. It was a quick read, but I wouldn’t say it was an easy read. There are some tragic and dark scenes that made me cringe and tear up, but I still enjoyed it. I felt bad for Ray and the Strays, but in the end the main bullies got their comeuppance. I give this book a 5-star review. I find that Erin Trejo can write pretty much any trope and I will enjoy reading it. She’s a master wordsmith.
