I never care…
Until Grace.

Review of Vengeful Soul: The Dirty Souls MC, Book 3 by Emma Creed @authoremmacreed @GiveMeBooksPR

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 out of 5 – stars

Brax has been a nomad for years, on his own for years, but now he has more than one reason to stay in one place. His prez has a job for him, but he’s not giving him a lot of information on it. He has too many questions but won’t get any other answers. He’s a loner, he has no desire to spend all of his time with some woman he doesn’t even know or know anything about. Brax has demons and vengeance in his soul. This assignment could be the deciding factor of whether he stays or hits the road.

She’s from a completely different life than Brax. Grace has lost most of her family and is wondering how she’s going to move on. When she finds a strange man in her house, her day gets worse than it already was. She has a job, a house, and a fiance, but her parents are gone and the secrets that will come out now could destroy her more than losing her parents.

I love The Dirty Souls books. The men are Alphas but they are also vulnerable when it comes to the women that bring them to their knees. The way these guys meet the women they fall in love with is not a normal meeting scenario. The characters are so well created and rounded and the story lines are full of action, suspense, secrets, and some very sexy times. Grace and Brax have a lot to overcome as well as secrets that will be revealed that put them both in danger. Can Brax fight his demon and the need for vengeance to have the life he never thought was possible? There are a lot of secrets revealed in this book. The Dirty Souls will once again stand behind their brothers and protect all that they hold close to them. I enjoyed Grace and Brax’s story and look forward to more of The Dirty Souls MC series. I give this book a 5-star review.

Review of Hart’s Desire: Savage Hell MC Book 5 by K. L. Ramsey @KLRamsey5

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 out of 5

Hart has a new assignment, but he has no idea what awaits him in the alley that he is told to go to. His partner set up the meeting for him and didn’t give much information. When he sees the figure at the end of the alley, he believes that they are going to run. He is not prepared for this case at all.

She needs protection from her ex until the trial, but she is afraid that the help she’s going to receive will take her away and she’ll lose even more. She’s not looking for anything other than protection, but the man that will be protecting her is too sexy for his own good.

Hart is not a man looking for a relationship, nor is he a man that sleeps with his clients, but this case seems to throw him for a loop. Add in the cute little toddler that takes a liking to him and his heart is at their mercy. I loved Hart’s story. Although, I do think he needed to get his butt kicked for walking away at first. The Savage Hell MC characters are always great to read, most of them are not ready for relationships, but when that woman walks into their lives that turns their world upside down, hold on for the ride because it’s going to be wild. I give this story a 5-star review and look forward to more in the Savage Hell MC series.

Review of 🃏 𝗛𝗢𝗧 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗥𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 🃏Dead Man’s Hand (A Good Run of Bad Luck) Book 1 by Giulia Lagomarsino @crzybookladyluv @EJBookPromos

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Antonio just wants to be left alone to live his life and stay off the grid of anyone from his past life, but when a car goes over the edge of the cliff during a snowstorm, Antonio can’t walk away and leave the woman inside to her fate. Maybe he is changing his life after all.

Ciara is on a mission, but why she chose to travel the sketchy roads in Colorado during a snowstorm is something that she will not understand. After her car goes over a cliff and she wakes up in a stranger’s house, she has no memory of what happened, where she is, how she got there, or who she is. Instinct takes over and survival is all that she can think of.

I love Giulia Lagomarsino’s books and Dead Man’s Hand was not a disappointment. It has the great characters, danger, humor, and story line that I love in her books. Antonio is a loner, he’s also socially stunted and when he reaches out to his brother in-law, the humor comes in. I love the Cortell Brothers series and A Good Run of Bad Luck will be a great series as well. Antonio and Ciara both need to find someplace to start over, but they need to get the threat surrounding them to back off. Add in an innocent woman to the mix that needs to be protected, and the sassiness is doubled with the women in this book. Who knew that adopting two dogs would reveal a new side of Antonio? His little girl is more pampered than Ciara is by him. I loved the book, and I look forward to more of this series. I give this book a 5-star review.

Title: Dead Man’s Hand

Author: Giulia Lagomarsino
Genre: Small Town Romance/Action Adventure
Release Date: August 2, 2021

A Good Run Of Bad Luck is a spinoff series of The Cortell Brothers and should be read in order.

I used to have it all, but then I was betrayed by my own uncle.
I should be dead, but my sister pulled me out of the wreckage of my life and gave me another chance.
No one can know who I really am.
So, I ran away, hiding out to live the rest of my miserable life in peace. But nightmares of my past transgressions make sure that never happens.
Until her.
When her car spun off the road, I should have left her to die. She wasn’t my concern, but when I saw her desperate eyes pleading with me to save her, I couldn’t turn my back.
With every day that passed, I found myself needing to be closer to her, to help her remember who she was.
But like everything else in my life, finding those answers could be dangerous.
She wasn’t just a random stranger.
She wasn’t innocent.
But now she’s mine, and I won’t let her walk away.

“Hey!”

My eyes flashed up to a man running down the mountain, slipping along the way as he tried to reach me.

“Help!” I shouted. “I’m stuck. I can’t get out!”

“Don’t move,” he commanded, his voice low and threatening. For just a moment, I wondered if he was here to kill me instead of save me. As he approached and looked around the car, I noticed his face was ruthless, evil. I swallowed hard around the lump in my throat. It didn’t matter who he was, as long as he got me out of here.

“Do you have anything to break the window?” he shouted.

Break the window? I searched around the car frantically, but everything was laying haphazardly after the tumble down the mountain. I had no clue if there was anything to help me.

“Do you have a window punch?” he asked, his eyes boring into mine.

“I…I…”

“It would be under the driver’s seat,” he said calmly. “I need you to check.”

Nodding, I brushed my hair out of my face, only to come away with a sticky hand. I stared down at the red that coated my hand, watching my fingers shake in terror.

“Lady, you need to get moving!”

I nodded, but before I could move, the car shifted backward, dropping down the mountain a good ten feet before hitting another tree. I screamed, grasping onto anything I could. When the car stopped moving again, I closed my eyes and fought the nausea swirling in my stomach.

The man was outside the car again, this time with a gun in his hand. My breath seized in my chest as I stared down the gun. Oh God, he really was going to kill me.

“Calm down,” he said, lowering his gun slightly. He looked through the window, and then back at the car. “I’m going to shoot out the window, but this car isn’t going to hold. Once the window’s broken, I need you to climb out right away. Okay?”

I nodded, but it all felt robotic. All I could focus on was that damn gun.

“Duck down, okay?”

I did as he asked, but inside, I was shaking. I heard the crack of the gun and my head jerked up as I heard more glass breaking. He was using the gun to break out the rest of the glass.

“Move!” he shouted, kicking me into high gear. I scrambled to the other side, but as I climbed across the seat, the car shifted again. I reached out my hand, barely grasping his as the car slid even further. “Give me your other hand,” he shouted. I thrust out my hand, but my body went airborne just as the car broke free from where the tree was holding it. My eyes connected with his just as I lost my grip on his hand.

I’m a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, “No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book.” I didn’t think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand other mothers hadn’t already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven’t been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.

Review of Deadly Lust: The Deadly Series Book 2 by Erin Trejo @trejo_erin

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 out of 5

Switch knew that she was someone special when he first laid eyes on her, but he also knew that she was off limits. Alina was Enzo’s cousin and that made her off limits, besides he was no good for her. His darkness was not something she needed.

Alina was terrified of men when she first found herself on her cousin’s compound. After the ordeal she had been through it was not surprising. However, after the initial shock of meeting Switch, her feelings for him began to grow.

I loved Switch’s story. The only problem I had was that it seemed as though I stepped into it a little late. A year had passed since Deadly Love and the initial meeting of these two. It seemed as though I was missing some important parts. Maybe I missed a book in between. The story, however, was awesome and full of danger, action, and great characters, just like all of Ms. Trejo’s books. I love her characters and her stories and will read anything she writes. Alina and Switch both have baggage that they need to put aside to make a relationship work. When Switch realizes that Alina calms him and that he would do anything to keep her safe, his demons begin to take a back seat. I am loving this series and look forward to more in the future. I give this book a 4-star review.

Review of Whistler: Ruthless Hellhounds MC (A Ruthless Underworld Novel) Book 2 by K.L. Savage @klsavage_author

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

She was naïve enough to marry the man at the age of nineteen when she believed he loved her. Now, her life is nothing like what she expected. She’s trapped and feeling as if there is no use to live any longer. Charlie has no idea the secrets being kept from her by the man that she married. When her father’s business takes on a construction job to do the renovations of Mercy, the bar that the Ruthless Hellhounds purchased to make into a safe haven for abused and battered women, she may have found her savior in the man that met her at the truck when she went to look at the job.

Whistler has been trying to protect his little sister for years. After the injury that ended his dreams of playing baseball professionally, he is at a loss of where he belongs or what he should do. When he spots his sister being man handled one night, he happens upon his future. Now a patched member of the Demon’s Fury, he’s found his new path in life. That is until the Demon’s Fury is without a president. Now trying to keep the MC going and asking Mercy to be the new president, they have a path and a purpose. When he first sees the woman climbing out of the rusty old truck he’s stunned by her beauty, but then he sees that she’s married.

Whistler is a man that wants to help anyone that is in trouble or hurting. He can’t help himself. His sister keeps him busy with her tragic choices in men and now this woman he’s just met, Charlie, brings all of his protective senses out and on alert. When Whistler starts digging into Charlie and her husband, he isn’t expecting to find the danger and the connection to his sister, but he is determined to save them both and protect what is his. I loved this book. Whistler is such a great character. The MC is finally coming together, and Mercy’s is coming along now that there is someone that knows what they’re doing in remodeling it. I am looking forward to reading more in the Ruthless Hellhounds MC series. I love the Ruthless world and the characters always brighten my day. I loved that Charlie was the one to finally save day and get her own revenge with her “husband”. It was such a great ending to their tumultuous relationship. I give this story a 5-star review and look forward to more from the characters in this series. Another great story in the Ruthless Underworld!

Review of Lucius: An Acquisition Novel by Celia Aaron @CeliaAaron_ and @GiveMeBooksPR

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 out of 5

Lucius Vinemont is an arrogant man. His family owns Magnolia Sugar, it was built by him mother. Lucius and his two brothers run the company, but someone wants to take it over buy them out or do a hostile takeover.

Evelyn is looking to take over Magnolia Sugar and dismantling it. She wants to destroy the Vinemont family and she plans to do it by any means necessary. The only problem is that her plans don’t go the way she wanted and now she has a shadow. He’s not the only shadow though, and the other shadow could be the more dangerous of the two.

I really enjoyed this story, it was full of action, secrets, betrayal, danger, and a powerful family that is ruthless in protecting what is theirs. They’re also the family that ended the Acquisition years prior, and now they are in danger with the old guard and new blood trying to bring it back, but they know that the Vinemont’s will have to be destroyed or ended before that can happen. The only trouble is that the Vinemont’s are more powerful that any expected them to be, and they don’t the backing the families do that are trying to renew the Acquisition. The characters are well developed and strong. The story was enjoyable, and the danger was palpable. I give this story a 4-star review.

EXCERPT

“Don’t lie to me, Evelyn.” His nostrils flare. “Never lie to me. The devil always knows.” His smirk returns as I try to push him away.
His other arm goes around my waist and he holds me tightly against him.
“Your heart is beating faster than a rabbit’s. Afraid?” He grips my jaw, his gaze darting to my lips.
“I’m not afraid of you.” I feel the tension in my body, but it’s different now. Not the sick, sinking feeling from what happened on the elevator. Lucius makes me feel more. He always has, ever since I saw him when I was still a girl, when Red was still alive. Handsome and oh-so-bad, the cocky Lucius Vinemont was my teenage fantasy. Because I didn’t know what bad was back then. Not really.
I do now. I know evil. I’ve seen it. And right now, the most evil man I’ve ever known has me crushed to his chest, his gaze darting to my lips. No, this fear is not the same as in the elevator, but I wish it was. I wish I had only fear and revulsion for him.
I wish I’d never set eyes on Lucius Vinemont.
“Not afraid of me?” He tsks. “If that’s true, then you aren’t as intelligent as you seem.” He strokes my cheek with his thumb. “Because I will find you out, Evelyn Delacroix. I will learn your secrets and use them to destroy you. Soon enough, you’ll be begging me for mercy, but I won’t give you any.”
“If you’re done threatening me, I’d like to leave now.”
“You sure?” He slides his hand to my throat and rests it there like a collar. “My offer from last night still stands. That prim little suit you’re wearing would look even better on my bedroom floor.”

Review of Redemption Road: A Small-Town Mystery Romance by Amanda McKinney #AmandaMcKinneyAuthor

She has nothing left to live for. She’s struggling to keep herself going and her body is showing the turmoil she’s been through and is still going through. She’s opened her own antiques shop, but she’s struggling to keep it open. When she finds a man on her couch in her house one night, her world is shaken up again. It seems that tragedy follows Rory Flanagan ever since her mother gave her the old necklace with the black butterfly on it.

He’s a loner. He was left on the steps of a church shortly after he was born. Adopted by a woman that worked for a prominent family in Berry Springs, Christian Locke is a man that has no family. He is a mystery to the town’s folk. People keep their distance from Christian.

There are a lot of secrets in Berry Springs. When a mysterious young woman is found in the ditch by Rory one night, the entire town is talking about it. Rory isn’t a stranger to the small-town talk, and when she encounters her bully from school at the crime scene, she finds herself worried about the talk in town being centered on her. This story is full of mystery, coincidences, twists, and tragedy. The necklace that Rory received from her mother has its own secrets and mystery surrounding it. When Rory finds a windchime that matches the necklace her curiosity gets the best of her then things really get interesting. I love the suspense, mystery, and characters in this book. I loved the book and found it hard to put down. I love a good who done it story and Redemption Road hits the mark perfectly. With the mystery of the necklace, the journal that Rory picks up, and death of a young woman found in a ditch, there was a lot to figure out in this book, but the twists and turns were nothing I was prepared for. I give this story a 5-star review and I am looking forward to more stories by Ms. McKinney.
