Wow! Steamy, intense, dangerous and deadly. Ice is a man that won’t let anything slip by him. He’s the VP of the Red Horsemen and the son of the President. He didn’t get his patch just because he’s the president’s son, he earned that patch just anyone else in the club has to earn theirs. He rose through the ranks at a young age and the destroyed the boy he was. Now he’s as cold as Ice when his adversaries are in his sights. He believes he has no heart, and he is not a man who knows how to love, but he shows his love in other ways, especially with his little sister Layla “Red”.

Rae is a woman on the run, but her life now is so much different than it was growing up. A tragedy and betrayal made her the woman she is now, and she doesn’t get close to anyone. So why is that she feels like she’s home when she lands in Harrison looking to work in the tattoo shop? Sketch the owner of the shop and tattoo artist that hired her is confused when he meets her and almost sends her away, but he gives in and decides to give her a chance when she convinces him that she can handle herself. Layla works in the shop too and she stands to the side smiling when Sketch meets Rae. Rae is following her mother’s last dying wish, her mother told her “If you ever find the sun missing from your sky, there. Promise me.” So here she is, but she isn’t planning to stay very long. She’s been on the run for four years and she can’t let them find her or catch up to her.

I loved this story. It was so intense and hard to put down. Rae has no idea why she has stayed so long in this town, or how or why she has become so close to Layla and the brothers of the MC. It’s the first time in years that she has felt safe and at home. Her life has been on hold for so long and she’s been alone for so long that it feels nice to feel respected, needed and cared about. I was so disappointed when I came to the last page and found out there was a cliffhanger and that I would have to wait a month for the rest of the story. I was so engrossed in the story that I didn’t realize I was coming to the end. I give this book a 5-star review and am very excited for Claimed. I love the characters and the story. The men of the Red Horsemen MC have no idea what has hit them when Rae shows up to work in Branded. I would love to read Layla’s book too as well as more of the other Horsemen after Claimed. I do believe that I have found a new to me author to stalk and her books to horde.

She’s is not what she seems from the outside. When Silla is attacked on the street while Grave is out running, he can’t just go about his business and leave her on the street. He may not know who she is, but he knows that it’s not right to keep running while she could die there in the street alone. Grave is making all kinds of crazy decisions and this one could be his downfall. Silla has her own secrets and battles to fight, can they work together and slay their demons and have a HEA?

Grave is the son of the president of the Chicago chapter, but there is no love between the two.
When he is drawn out of hiding for his mother, he fights to get his MC back under control and the leadership back to what it should be and the club to be trusted again by its ally’s. Grave has the MC blood running through his veins and he just wants the club to be loyal and what it should have been before it was run into the ground and trust lost among clubs, ally’s, and brothers.

I really liked this book. It pulled me in from the first page and held my mind captive until the very end. It’s full of betrayal, secrets, danger and great characters that made me feel as though I knew them and wanted to help them. Loyalty is a big deal with an MC. If there is no loyalty or trust, an MC has nothing. The Chicago Chapter of the Royal Devils MC has a lot of issues going on and when there is a hit on the club and one of their own is left for dead, a lot will come crashing down. Some members will face the wrath of the club and their own betrayal will catch up to them. I give this book a 5-star review and I am so looking forward to Psycho’s book. He was probably my favorite character. He’s such a lost soul and his pain is so real.

Boomer is fighting daily battles with his own head. He left Las Vegas to find his place in the world and when he landed in Atlantic City and found that the Ruthless Kings MC Atlantic City chapter was a black stain on the Ruthless Kings MC’s he did something about it. He cleaned up the trash and is now trying to fix what was broken in Atlantic City. Their numbers are climbing, and the club is growing, but there is still a lot of work to do. They still have to get the city to see them as an asset instead of the trouble that was lurking before. They started out with a mismatch of guys that were the outcasts from the original Atlantic City Ruthless Kings MC with Boomer rescuing them along with the women that were found in the basement. Now they’re a club that is trying to show the city that they are a better club than the old one and they are there to help and protect the city, in any way they can. I love his love, adoration and devotion to Scarlett Rose and the strength she gives him to continue to fight his demons.

I so love the Ruthless Kings MC books, and the addition of the Atlantic City chapter makes it so that there are more stories to come. The connection between Boomer and Scarlet is strong, beautiful and healing for both of them. Boomer has a lot of baggage, but Scarlet sees the man beneath the baggage and makes him a better man. The men of the of the Ruthless Kings MC are dangerous, loyal and entertaining. While there is a seriousness to them, there is still the family connection these men have and their ability to drive Boomer crazy just like the men of the Las Vegas chapter does to Reaper. The Atlantic City chapter has a battle ahead of them to show the city that they are they to help, but when a snowstorm hits Atlantic City their chance arises to show the city they can help by opening their doors to anyone that needs a safe, warm place to go during the storm.

This book was a fun read, but it was also a tragic read. The characters are finding their own strengths and coming into their own. Boomer is showing the club that he may have issues, but he can be a strong leader and is a good man. All of the guys look to Boomer for help, strength and guidance and are showing him that he is needed and worthy. I love this story and the battles that are fought in this story are tragic, but they show such a strength amongst the club that I can’t help but fall in love with the characters. I give this story a 5-star review and so look forward to more books by K. L. Savage. They write books that can destroy the heart, but they always bring me back with the love of the characters.
