Alexius and Leandra are still working through their contract, but neither wants to continue with the contract. However, neither of them communicates their feelings or how they want to proceed. Alexius has pulled out all the stops to keep Leandra, but he’s not being honest about it.

Leandra has fallen hard for Alexius and she’s happy that Alexius wants to ignore the contract and make their relationship real. As they grow closer, the danger still lurks and finds family members in the crossfire of the danger, and Leandra has a secret to share but she’s not sure how it will be received.

This is a great continuation of the Dark Sovereign story of Alexius and Leandra. I am looking forward to more in the series and what the outcome will be for Alexius and Leandra. Secrets and danger are a part of their lives, but Alexius’ betrayal to Leandra is the worst. I love the characters in this story and can’t wait for more to come. Bella J’s stories always keep my interest from the beginning of the books until the end and further on. The stories always leave me wanting more of the characters and their stories. I give this book a 5-star review.
