Gamble clings to two things: the Riot MC brotherhood and a grudge against his sisterโ€™s attacker. When his grudge brings danger to an innocent woman, it sends him into a tailspin. Dumping a woman at the clubhouse โ€”as a message for Gambleโ€” enrages the Riot MC brothers, but Gamble risks his life in order to mete out vengeance.

Victoriaโ€™s recovery is slow and arduous. Heโ€™s determined to help her heal and move on.

After tragedy strikes, the last place Victoria expects to be is in Gambleโ€™s room. She doesnโ€™t want him to see her broken. She definitely doesnโ€™t want his help to recover. He wonโ€™t have the patience for a woman whose spirit is shattered. Proving her wrong, Gamble refuses to leave her alone. The more he builds her trust, the more she battles her growing desire for him.

As a public defender, Victoria knows she should stay far away from the outlaw biker. But, the blue-eyed outlaw with a sexy Southern drawl argues with her like heโ€™s opposing counsel. They cannot fight their overwhelming attraction. Their relationship grows and changes until they realize they need the same things.
Justice.
And each other.

Gamble grabbed my right hand, then reclined the passenger seat while I drove us home.

โ€œAre you okay?โ€ I asked.

โ€œIโ€™m good.โ€

โ€œGood at lying,โ€ I said.

โ€œKitten, itโ€™s been two weeks since I got out of the hospital. Iโ€™m getting better.โ€

I nodded at the windshield. โ€œYeah, but that doesnโ€™t mean you needed to stand around for an hour with Brute while Aubrey had her practice.โ€

He didnโ€™t say anything to that. At a traffic light, I glanced at him. He had a big, beautiful smile on his face. The joy in his expression almost made me think he was stoned, but I knew better.

โ€œWhat are you smiling about?โ€

His eyes stayed closed as he said, โ€œIโ€™m fucked, but I like it.โ€

โ€œPardon?โ€

He opened his eyes. โ€œItโ€™s always gonna be like this, isnโ€™t it?โ€

The light changed, I faced forward, and we motored onward. โ€œIs what going to be like this?โ€

โ€œUs. The bickering, the fussingโ€ฆ and even your girl Heidi fussing over me. Thatโ€™s how itโ€™s going to be, isnโ€™t it?โ€

I pressed my lips together. โ€œI donโ€™t know,โ€ I murmured.

His seat came forward. โ€œYou know, and itโ€™s true.โ€

We were in the driveway. I tried to wrest my hand free, but Gamble hit the clicker with his free hand. I pulled the car forward and he hit the clicker again. He let my hand go so I could park and turn off the engine.

Gamble shifted and cupped my cheeks. โ€œYou love me, right?โ€

My chin dipped. โ€œMore than I knew I could love anyone.โ€

His eyes lit up. โ€œRight. And Iโ€™m yours in a way I never knew I could belong to anybody.โ€

โ€œOkay,โ€ I said hesitantly. โ€œWhat brought this on?โ€

โ€œYouโ€™re mine the same way right? You belong to me?โ€

I noddedโ€ฆ still hesitant.

โ€œThatโ€™s what the property patch is about, kitten. At least for me. I see a woman with a brotherโ€™s patch on her back, it doesnโ€™t just tell me sheโ€™s off-limits. It tells me that brother found a woman he cares enough about to make her his. And crazy as you might find it, that makes me happy for that man.โ€

I nodded and his hands fell away. โ€œBut some of your brothers havenโ€™t put cuts on their women. I havenโ€™t seen Kenzie wearing anything like that or Trinity.โ€

Gamble laughed. โ€œKenzie was wearing one at the Fourth of July party, but you probably didnโ€™t notice because of Stephanie accusing her of cheating at cornhole.โ€

โ€œOkay, fine. And Trinity?โ€

A lopsided grin crossed his face. โ€œYou might say Trinity made Roman hers, but really, youโ€™d have to ask Roman about that. I donโ€™t know why he hasnโ€™t given her a cut, and God knows Sandy has to be nagging the hell out of Roman about it.โ€

โ€œThatโ€™s not saying much. I think she enjoys nagging your brothers.โ€

โ€œYeah. But, we recognize women have rights. Set your feminism aside. If I give you a property cut, itโ€™s an honor, Victoria.โ€

Karen Renee is the author of the Riot Motorcycle Club, Beta, and O-Town series of books. She once crunched Nielsen ratings data but these days she brings her imagination to life by writing books. She has wanted to be a writer since she was very young, but it’s taken the last twenty plus years for her to amass enough courage and overall life experience to bring that dream to life. Some of those life experiences came from the wonderful world of advertising, banking, and local television media research. She is a proud wife and mother, and a Jacksonville native. When she’s not at the soccer field or cooking, you can find her at her local library, the grocery store, in her car jamming out to some tunes, or hibernating while she writes and/or reads books.
