MY REVIEW: βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ 5 out of 5
Four college friends that met their first year of college. Two are related, one comes from familiar family, but one is new to the group and fits in perfectly. They are the Ride or Die kind of friends. She has no idea about who her family is because her parents didnβt want to raise her. Now Davinaβs part of a mafia family by association. One mistake and the lives of all four girls turns upside down. Theyβre making some crazy decisions.
He’s the head of the Brennan Mafia family and he is connected to some very powerful people. Heβs also the father of Davinaβs best friend. He will do anything to protect his family while he and his son work to take down those that killed his best friend and his family. He includes his daughterβs group of friends as part of his family and watches over them and protects them.
I loved this story of forbidden love, age-gap, and crazy young girls doing their best to find their way in a world of power, protection, and overbearing men. They do some crazy things and believe they are getting away with all of it, but there is always someone watching. I love Eva Winnersβ books; she writes her characters with so much charisma and character that they feel like friends. Her books have made me cry and laugh, but they always leave me wanting so much more of her characters and their stories. I give this book a 5-star review and I cannot wait to read the Kingpins of the Syndicate Series books.
